About Me

The Story behind calendula confectionary

There was never any shortage of homemade baked goods growing up. Both my grandmothers had a huge garden and I would watch them work around the kitchen, using the fruits and vegetables they grew themselves. I was fascinated by the amazing dishes that they would make, and from a young age, I looked to them for inspiration. Through them, I have learned the value and importance of using real and local ingredients; this will always be the primary focus of my baking.

After finding out that I had both a gluten and dairy intolerance, and seeing how many unnecessary and harmful additives there are in these products, I started experimenting on my own with gluten free, dairy free baking. It is difficult to find gf/df baked goods that are also good FOR you, and for years I've been after the perfect recipes.

My hope for Calendula Confectionary is for my baked goods to be the perfect balance of healthy indulgence.

Wherever possible, I work with local suppliers to source the freshest and most authentic ingredients. Baked goods will never be made more than a day in advance, so you will always get the best quality possible. My goal is to make your tastebuds happy!
